Celebrating one year of Affinia: How we've supported our clients

This month marks one year since we became Affinia, and it’s a perfect time to look back and celebrate everything we’ve accomplished as a team. Today, we’re excited to share the key achievements that have enhanced the service and support we offer our clients.
Commercial success
We have seen a huge commercial success over the past year with Affinia rising to 34th nationally in Accountancy Age’s Top 50+50 rankings, a growth of 76%.
Through this enhanced position we continue to connect like-minded firms in our regions, building an accountancy practice which creates a breadth of support for clients in our local communities, whilst retaining local expertise. As we build our team of experts, we have also expanded our knowledge on speciality sectors including education & academies and the medical industry.
Client achievements
Over the past 12 months we have supported over 25,000 clients across our five service lines of Accounts, Tax, Payroll, Audit and Corporate Finance. We understand that every business is unique with its challenges and opportunities and we are proud of all our teams for delivering taking a tailored approach to supporting our clients.

Growing our resource library
A key part of our service to clients is sharing our expertise through timely and relevant guides, events and resources. In 2025, we took an exciting step forward and hosted our first podcast episode for the Autumn Budget, alongside our usual comprehensive guide and tax rate card. We also launched two new event series:
- M&A Masterclass – featuring a panel covering financial, tax, and legal insight for those keen to learn more about acquiring for growth and maximising the value when selling a business
- ElevateHer – a new quarterly networking event designed to foster meaningful connections, share practical insights, and support women working in finance at the early stages of their career

Awards
In June our Corporate Finance team achieved no. 2 ranking for deal volume in Q1 2025 in Experian’s Q1 East of England M&A review. Speaking on the achievement, Adam Croft, Head of Mergers & Acquisitions said “This achievement is a direct result of our team’s proactive approach and deep market insights, as well as the trust our clients place in us to guide them through pivotal moments for their businesses.”
Our Corporate Finance team were also shortlisted for Transaction Services Team of the Year at the 2025 Insider Media Central & East Dealmaker Awards in November.
In October we were finalists at the Accounting Excellence Awards as:
- Employer of the Year (Large firm)
- Audit Firm of the Year
- Marketing Campaign of the Year
These nominations celebrated our commitment to fostering a supportive and forward-thinking workplace, delivering high-quality, transparent audit services, and driving creative, strategic marketing that connects with our audience.
We were delighted to be awarded the bronze award for Marketing Campaign of the Year at the ceremony for our Affinia rebrand.
Oliver White
In October, Oliver White, Audit Director in Halstead, was named as a finalist in the Forty under 40 Awards UK under the Professional Services category. This recognition celebrates young leaders who demonstrate exceptional professional impact and leadership. We are so proud of Oli for this fantastic achievement!
In February 2026, our Credit Control team attended the CICM British Credit Awards where they were nominated for Credit Control team of the Year. This nomination was a testament to their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence in everything they do.
