Affinia strengthens support for The Chartwell Cancer Trust 

We are delighted to share the latest development in our long‑term partnership with The Chartwell Cancer Trust, as Affinia becomes the newest sponsor of an AV1 Robot to support young cancer patients across our local communities.

Affinia has proudly supported The Chartwell Cancer Trust for many years, originally as the adopted charity of our Orpington office, formerly Baxter & Co. Alongside participating in fundraising initiatives, we have supported the charity since its early days by donating our services to manage their accounts. Our continued commitment helps us give back to a cause that makes a real difference to cancer patients and oncology families.

The Chartwell Cancer Trust is made up of two small but dynamic charities working to improve treatment and care for adults and children living with cancer and leukaemia. For more than 20 years, the charity has raised vital funds for patients across South London, North Kent and East Surrey. By working directly with medical teams at The Princess Royal University Hospital, King’s College Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’, Croydon University Hospital, The Royal Marsden and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, they ensure support reaches the people who need it most. 

As part of our ongoing support, we have sponsored an AV1 Robot to help young patients stay connected to school during long and often isolating periods of treatment. The robot acts as the child’s eyes, ears and voice in the classroom, allowing them to join lessons, interact with friends and maintain a sense of normality from home or hospital. Affinia’s sponsorship covers the annual maintenance package, ensuring the technology continues to work smoothly for the children who rely on it.
