Affinia sponsors Richmond May Ball in support of local charities

Affinia was proud to sponsor the prize draw at this year’s Richmond May Ball, a prestigious black-tie event that marks the elegant start of the much-loved May Fair weekend.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of historic Richmond Green, the evening brought together over 450 guests for a night of celebration, entertainment, and charitable giving. 

This year’s event was held across two spacious marquees and supported two highly deserving charities: The Purple Elephant Project, which focuses on children’s mental health, and The Poppy Factory, which helps veterans and their families transition into civilian employment. Together, these causes reflect the event’s strong community focus. Over the years, the Richmond May Ball has raised more than £1 million for around 20 local charities, making a meaningful and lasting impact in the local area. 

The ball is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and carefully curated experience. Guests were welcomed with a champagne reception before enjoying an exquisite evening of fine dining, premium wines, and a lively cocktail bar. The festivities continued with live entertainment, including a band that kept the dance floor busy, alongside an exciting auction and prize draw, both key highlights of the evening. 

Affinia’s sponsorship of the prize draw aligns closely with our commitment to giving back to the communities we serve. It was a privilege to play a part in an event that not only celebrates community spirit but also raises vital funds for important causes. 

Robert Norfolk, Associate Director in Audit and Accounts in our Richmond office, attended the event alongside his colleague Simon Coles, Director in our Tax Team. 

The evening was a resounding success, combining elegance, entertainment, and charitable impact. Affinia is delighted to have been involved and looks forward to supporting future initiatives that make a positive difference in our communities.
