A Summer of Charity Football

10 July 2026

This summer, our teams have proudly taken part in a series of charity football tournaments, combining friendly competition with fundraising for causes that make a real difference in our local communities.

Across the season, colleagues from across our offices have demonstrated outstanding teamwork, determination and community spirit, helping to raise vital funds for charities while enjoying some healthy competition.

Fiducia Wealth Management Tournament: Supporting St Helena Hospice

Our summer of charity football kicked off with the annual Fiducia Wealth Management Football Tournament in support of St Helena Hospice, a charity that provides care and support for people facing incurable illness and bereavement, as well as their families and carers across northeast Essex.

We were incredibly proud of our Colchester football team, who helped contribute to an impressive £2,100 raised for this important cause. Taking to the pitch in challenging 30°C heat, the team showed exceptional commitment and resilience across three competitive rounds.

Their efforts paid off as they progressed to the final against Scrutton Bland, securing a well-deserved victory and lifting the trophy. It was a fantastic achievement and a fitting reward for a team that demonstrated determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day.

Most importantly, the event highlighted the positive impact that can be achieved when businesses and individuals come together to support their local community. It was a brilliant result for St Helena Hospice and a memorable success for our Colchester team.

Rutherford Briant Charity Football Tournament: Supporting the Stroke Association

The momentum continued in June at the Rutherford Briant Charity Football Tournament, held in support of the Stroke Association, the UK’s leading stroke charity. The organisation provides lifelong support, information and advice to stroke survivors and their families, while also funding vital research and campaigning to improve care for those affected by stroke.

With teams representing both our Colchester and Ipswich offices, the tournament was a fantastic opportunity to come together, strengthen connections and support a worthy cause. Through the collective efforts of everyone involved, the event raised more than £2,500 for the Stroke Association.

On the pitch, both teams delivered excellent performances. Ipswich celebrated success by winning the Europa League, while Colchester successfully defended their title in impressive fashion. Remaining undefeated throughout the tournament, Colchester won seven games and reached the final stage without conceding a single goal.

The success was built on a genuine team effort, with goals shared across the squad and a strong defensive performance underpinning the team’s achievements. Beyond the results, however, the day was a reminder of the power of collaboration and the positive difference that can be made when organisations unite behind a common purpose.

First Intuition Charity Football Tournament: Supporting Leadership Through Sport and Business (LTSB)

Our Harlow and Chelmsford offices joined forces to compete in the First Intuition Charity Cup, a 5-a-side tournament raising funds for Leadership Through Sport & Business (LTSB). The event saw 13 teams take part and raised an impressive £1,300 for the charity.

LTSB supports young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them access education, employment and training opportunities, and ensuring talent can access meaningful careers regardless of background.

The combined Affinia team progressed through the group stage before being knocked out in the quarter-finals by a team that went on to reach the final. A special mention goes to captain Max Dean for his tactical leadership throughout the day.

The tournament concluded with The Fitness Consultancy lifting the trophy after a strong performance throughout the competition.

Looking ahead

Our summer of charity football has so far demonstrated the enthusiasm, commitment and community spirit that runs throughout our teams.

Across multiple tournaments, colleagues have not only enjoyed success on the pitch but have also helped raise thousands of pounds for charities that provide invaluable support to people and families across our region.

We look forward to building on this success and continuing to make a positive impact both on and off the field.
