The next phase of growth: Affinia combines with UHY Hacker Young offices

We’re delighted to share that we have agreed to join forces with the London, Nottingham & Brighton firms of UHY Hacker Young.
This combination is a significant step for us and one that brings together teams with shared values, complementary strengths and a similar way of working with clients, subject to all regulatory and other approval processes completing.
By coming together, the firm will have around 1,000 colleagues across 17 offices. More importantly, it gives us greater scale to support our clients as their needs become more complex, while continuing to invest in our people, systems and technology.
Our purpose remains the same: helping clients, colleagues and communities prosper. This combination supports that aim by allowing us to build on what we already do well, while strengthening our national presence and broadening the expertise available across the firm.
As a result of the firms joining forces, the group will become a member of the wider UHY Hacker Young Group, the UK network, placing us among the UK’s Top 25 accountancy providers and strengthening our footprint across the country.
This builds on Affinia’s steady, purposeful growth over the past two years, during which we have moved from 73rd to 34th in the Accountancy Age 50+50 rankings. Other UK member firms within the UHY Hacker Young network will continue to operate independently, maintaining their local identity and client relationships.
Together, with our UHY International membership, clients will also have access to global expertise across more than 360 offices in 95 countries, while continuing to work with local teams who understand their business.
This is our largest transaction to date and reflects wider changes across the accounting and advisory sector. Clients are facing increasing regulatory, commercial and technological challenges, and firms need the right scale and investment to keep pace. For us, this combination is about being well‑placed for the future, while staying true to our culture and the way we work.
