The events were an opportunity to bring people together in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, while strengthening the connections we have with the communities around our offices.
Across both locations, our clients, friends, and members of our local communities dropped in to catch up with familiar faces, make new connections and, most importantly, raise money for a fantastic cause.
Thanks to everybody’s generosity, we are delighted to have raised £737.20 across the two events. Every contribution will help Macmillan continue to provide vital practical, emotional and financial support to people living with cancer and their families.
For our Halstead team, this year brought an extra reason to celebrate, as they hosted their 10th Macmillan Coffee Morning! What started small has grown into something the team looks forward to each year, welcoming familiar faces from across the local community back through the doors of our Halstead office.
Organised by Lee Fullgrabe with help from Emily Chang and Elise Buckwell, Halstead’s 10th Coffee Morning was made possible by the continued support of everyone who has taken part over the years.
This year, Halstead added another £581 to that fundraising effort, smashing their initial £250 target- an incredible achievement!
Our Ipswich office was also busy bringing people together, with colleagues, clients and visitors joining us throughout the event. This was the first coffee morning hosted in Ipswich, and it was great to see the office come together to support such an important cause along with their local community.
Organised by office lead Mitchell Gooderham along with Lucy Jennings, the team put on an impressive spread of cakes, biscuits and sweet treats, creating a relaxed space for people to stop by, have a chat and support Macmillan along the way.
It was fantastic to see the office buzzing with conversation and to have another opportunity to connect with the people and businesses around us, while contributing to such an important cause.
Together, the Ipswich Coffee Morning raised £156.20. A fantastic achievement for the team’s first coffee morning ever!
We’re proud of what our teams in Halstead and Ipswich have achieved, but we also want events like these to be part of something bigger.
Our offices are part of the communities they serve, and we want to continue finding more ways for our people to get involved, build local connections and support causes that matter.
Halstead’s ten-year tradition shows what can happen when an event becomes part of the relationship between a team and its local community. As Affinia grows, we’d love to see that same spirit continue across the business, with more opportunities for our teams, clients and communities to come together and make a positive difference.
