Yunus Jawaheer

Head of Risk & Compliance

Yunus joined Affinia in 2025, having worked in risk management and compliance within the financial services industry for over 12 years. His expertise includes strategic planning, regulatory compliance, policy development, risk management, business continuity and disaster recovery, and compliance matters related to data privacy, IT security, legal, and human resources. 

Yunus grew up in Canada with a Mauritian background and moved to the UK in 2021. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy, Administration, and Law from York University and an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences degree with a certificate in Law from the University of Ottawa. 

Outside of work, Yunus enjoys watching football and Formula 1, spending time with friends and family, and travelling. His passion for travelling has led him to visit 20 cities and 5 villages in 7 different countries in 2023.
