Laurence joined Affinia in September 2024 as part of the acquisition of Giess Wallis Crisp LLP, now the Harlow office, where he leads the audit service line and is also a member of the firm’s Audit board.
Laurence has spent 20 years at Giess Wallis Crisp LLP, starting as a trainee, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2008 and becoming a partner in 2021. During this time, he has gained experience working across accounts, audit, and taxation for a variety of businesses, ranging from owner managed SME’s to international groups. Laurence’s focus is now audit, with a broad range of clients across several sectors, including construction, solicitors, manufacturing, and retail.
Laurence enjoys the compliance aspect of audit whilst also taking pride in building strong relationships with his clients and taking the time to get to know their businesses in order to provide a proactive and value-added service.
Outside of the office, Laurence enjoys watching most sports, and spending time playing pool and snooker, whilst being kept on his toes by his three children.
