In 2024, Carl joined Affinia through the acquisition of Clarkson Hyde. Working within our Private Client team, Carl provides a varied client portfolio with practical advice on a wide range of issues. These include everything from mitigating tax on businesses to handling HMRC enquiries all the way to the First Tier Tribunal, where he has successfully represented a number of clients.
His specialisms include owner-managed businesses, inheritance tax and trusts, resolution of disputes with HMRC and residence issues for inward and outward-bound individuals. Â
Outside of work, Carl is a lifelong supporter of Sunderland AFC. He is also a keen poker player and, in 2024, won a live tournament to earn a free trip to Las Vegas.
