Andy Mate

Andy qualified as a Chartered Accountant back in 1985 and went on to become one of the founding partners of Platt Rushton, before they joined Affinia in 2025. He has been instrumental in driving our Leigh-on-Sea office to become one of the leading firms of Chartered Accountants in the area. 

Over and above routine audit, accounts and tax work, Andy has a wealth of experience in dealing with more complex planning matters including group structuring, acquisition & mergers, corporate finance and UK and international consulting assignments. Andy also deals with much of the practice’s estate planning, wealth management and trust work. He also consults various legal and financial firms on land, property and agricultural transactions. 

Andy professes to be a workaholic but still finds time for his pastimes including car restoration, sailing and family ski trips with his grandchildren. If he doesn’t answer his phone, he is probably on the golf course.
