Affinia Appoints 10 New Apprentices to its “Class of 2024”

We are very pleased to announce the appointment of 10 new apprentices to our 2024/25 intake.

The apprentices will work across several of Affinia’s departments from tax to audit, as well as business advisory, and will have the opportunity to gain a range of professional chartered/accredited ICAEW ACA, ACCA, AAT, CTA, ATT qualifications.

Over the past 3 years, Affinia has helped more than 60 apprentices achieve their accountancy qualifications, including the Level 7 Professional Accountant apprenticeships, Level 7 Taxation and working towards being a Chartered Accountant.

Recently, Affinia was named number 3 in the Top 50 UK SME Employers 2024, a nationwide certification given to firm’s who take part of the government’s Apprenticeship Levy Scheme, which is backed by the Department of Education. This result precedes last year’s standing, at number 13, 10 places higher than in 2023.

Joining Affinia in September, and working across all office sites include: Ollie Jarrett, Kalpesh Ambekar, Justin James, Mohammed Isam, Kara Golbourn, Harry Hodgson, Rachel Chubb, Sarah Anthony, Abhay Patel, Phoebe Stack, who will be joining the audit and accountancy client service line teams.

Abhay Patel, Audit Trainee, Affinia said: “My first impressions of working at Affinia is that there is a well-established culture of support and teamwork. The transition from graduating to a full-time role can be challenging, but the staff at Affinia have made this transition as smooth as possible for me. The most enjoyable aspect of working as part of the Affinia audit team is the test of utilising my problem-solving skills to tackle challenging tasks.”

Rachel Chubb, Trainee Accountant, Affinia said: “My first impression of Affinia was how welcoming and helpful everyone was. Working at LB is an exciting opportunity for me. I have enjoyed the atmosphere of the office and seeing everyone again since I completed my work experience last summer. I am enjoying learning new skills and looking forward to further my knowledge.”
