February sees the launch of Affinia, a new challenger Accountancy, Tax and Business Advisory firm, focused on building stronger, more valuable relationships. This launch combines LB Group and six other like-minded firms across the East & South East of England. Together the combined firm placed 43rd in the UK’s Top 50+50 Accountancy firms.
Supported by Sovereign Capital Partners, Affinia provides accounting, tax and business advisory expertise, in a down to earth way. With supporting British enterprise being at the core of the firm’s ambition, they are setting the standard for building stronger more valuable relationships that work for everyone.
Affinia combines seven regional firms – LB Group, RE Group, Dyer & Co., Giess Wallis Crisp, NSO Associates, Baxter & Co. and Clarkson Hyde – and will have around 400 professionals operating from nine offices in Colchester, Chelmsford, Halstead, Harlow, Ipswich, Orpington, Sidcup, Stratford and Sutton.
The name Affinia reflects the shared approach of the firms joining together in their:

As a group, Affinia supports over 7,000 clients, employs over 400 colleagues and has a heritage of over 300 years. They span nine local offices in Colchester, Chelmsford, Halstead, Harlow, Ipswich, Orpington, Sidcup, Stratford and Sutton, delivering critical trusted services to clients across audit and assurance, accountancy, tax, payroll and corporate finance.
We are also pleased to announce the recent appointments of Group CEO, Darren Redmayne, and Group COO, Vanessa Emens. Together with Rob Harden (Group CFO) and Chris Annis (Head of Accounts Service) they are responsible for the strategic growth of Affinia, alongside its senior service line leadership team.
